The generosity of others is the driving force behind everything this Foundation strives to do; and we wanted to recognize those groups who have helped us in the early months of 2008. Potomac Falls High School (Potomac Falls, Virginia) held their annual "Remember Nicole' Dodgeball Tournament to help raise funds and keep Nicole's memory ever-present at her alma mater. The event is hosted by the school's Student Council Association. The University of South Florida women's soccer team hosted the first Florida 'Make It Happen' 5K Run/Walk on February 23rd in Tampa, Florida. Despite the rainy weather, everyone still had a great time and are looking forward to next year's event. The 3rd Annual Copa Latina All-Star game was played March 7th at Ted Hendricks Stadium in Miami, Florida. The All-Star team (comprised of players from this year's month-long Copa Latina tournament) played the Honduran U-23 Olympic Team who were in town for their Olympic Qualifying tournament. Coerver Coaching Southeast, in conjunction with Treausure Coast United Soccer Club, held a 'Coerver Friday Night 5v5' event at Leighton Park in Palm City, Florida. This event has become a much-anticipated evening for familiies in the Palm City/Stuart area. A special thanks goes out to Rob Puterio, Chris Brown, Denise Schilte-Brown, Tom Mulroy, Paul Gibbons and all the 'Friends of Nicole' who helped make these events possible and whose generosity will help fund this year's scholarships.
